回复 :大正25年，帝都东京。 主人公久世鸫出身华族，为拯救走向没落的家族，决定联姻。就在此时，弟弟被卷入叫做“稀有之物”的书籍所引起的事件中。“稀有之物”中寄宿着作者的灵魂与情感，能对读者产生巨大影响。 久世鸫以弟弟的事故为契机，可以看见“稀有之物”所散发出的寄宿者的情感——“灵韵”。在困惑的鸫面前出现了自称所属于 “帝国图书情报资产管理局”（俗称“鸱鸺”）的人们。他们的职责是收集・管理“稀有之物”，并委托鸫协助参与有关“稀有之物”的调查任务。 鸫虽有一丝犹豫，但最终决定参与“鸱鸺”，展开对“稀有之物”的调查活动。 这是一部讲述如天秤般摇摆的一位少女命运的故事。
