回复 :民国时期，各路军阀并起，当然这些军阀中也不乏笑果连连、丑态百出的大老粗。比如这位张大帅，颟顸乖张，尤其喜好女色。他外出途中看见一群女学生打篮球，慨叹学校的小气，发给每人一个篮球，还把学生们的裙子全部剪短。又或者汽车抛锚，善于逢迎的刁副官（王菲 饰）竟找来一辆灵车应付，反逗得大帅喜笑颜开。张大帅府上虽有五位太太，却仍不知足，依旧四下搜寻美女。不从者便被关押，闹出不少人间悲剧。上梁不正下梁歪，喜好偷腥的大帅难免估计后院，引得刁副官和五姨太眉来眼去，暗通款曲。闹出笑话无数，笑坏世间百姓……
回复 :母亲离世，父亲生意失败、疾病缠身，十六岁的荣子（若尾文子 饰）走投无路，只好到祗园投靠母亲生前的艺妓姐妹美代春（木暮实千代 饰）去做见习艺妓。经过美代春的悉心培训，一年后，荣子成为了一名亭亭玉立的艺妓。终于到了荣子第一次接待客人的这一天，美代春领着荣子接待了两名客人——楠田和佐伯。后来美代春和荣子跟着楠田到东京游玩，到达当晚在旅店内，楠田想与荣子发生关系，荣子不肯就范，在反抗中咬伤了他。因为这件事，美代春和荣子的生意大受影响，她们只得闲赋在家。饱受门庭冷落的荣子决定上门亲自道歉，而美代春得知后，急忙赶去替换了荣子。次日，荣子询问一夜未归的美代春是否为了自己而出卖身体。美代春的一番话，让荣子学到了作为艺妓的一套人生哲学。

As the Jew's schemes grow more elaborate and his actions more brazen, the dukedom nearly erupts into civil war. Persuaded by the Jew, the Duke all but scuttles the constitution and alienates the assembly by lifting the local ban on Jews in Stuttgart. In a final outrage, the Jew rapes a wholesome German girl and tortures her father and fiancee. When the Duke succumbs to a sudden heart attack, the assembly of Elders try the Jew and sentence him to death for having "carnal knowledge of a Christian woman."Summary written by Kevin Rayburn
