中年医生大仓（杉浦直树 饰）接下了一个神秘的委托，国产领取了一大笔酬金，国产住进了一座位于北方乡下的别墅之中。之后，大仓根据指示车站接来了他的同住者工藤（泽田研二 饰），两人开始了住在同一屋檐下的生活。工藤是一个沉默寡言的男人，每天过着非常规律的生活，和大仓之间没有任何的交集，这让大仓不免感到有一丝丝的压抑。之后，别墅里又来了一位新住客——性格活泼开朗古灵精怪的陪酒女郎梢（樋口可南子 饰），她的到来打破了别墅里凝固的气氛，渐渐的，这两男一女找到了相处和沟通的方式，甚至彼此之间结下了微妙的友谊。
