《美丽村官》是一部以榆林市解决150万农村群众饮水困难为背景，韩国反映这一民生工程实施四年所取得显著成就的主旋律电影。该片讲述了大学生刘丹响应中组部号召考取了陕北缺水山区的村主任助理后，韩国在复员军人马水、男朋友倪震的帮助和佳榆市委书记李华强的鼓励支持下，发动群众克服了种种困难，修建水窖、铺设集雨场、打深井找水，解决村里水危机的故事。
