1999年，邵总澳门回归中国前。澳门司警马振成（杜汶泽饰）因惹上是非遭停职，邵总警察生涯即将终结。马振成与伙计仍然夜蒲，盲打误撞遇上一名神秘少女张碧欣（梁洛施饰）。张碧欣随之跟着马振成回家，醉酒醒来的马振成以为自己与对方有了一夜情，再加上碧欣声称是他与初恋情人分手后生下的女儿，更加令马振成错愕不已。碧欣因欠租数月以致无家可归，其心爱的狗狗伊莎贝拉亦被无良业主赶走，下落不明。身为父亲的马振成希望能弥补以往的责任，其后碧欣坚决要与马振成同住，令一向放浪的马振成生活顿起变化。为求自保，马振成企图以身犯险令自己得以脱罪，他的好友杜Sir（黄秋生饰）亦屡劝无效。张碧欣欢欣鼓舞地准备与父亲落草，对着同校男生也难掩得意之色。然而渐渐地马振成从张碧欣身上，体会到什么是责任。

回复 :精神抑郁的画家(齐木茂饰)在去下水道中寻找灵感的时候，意外发现了一条人鱼(染井真理饰)。而这条人鱼竟然是画家曾经在河中遇见过的。画家开始为人鱼作画，而此时才发现人鱼的腹部因为某种原因而溃烂。长满了大大小小的脓包和肉瘤，然后画家将人鱼带回家养在了浴缸里。画家买来药为人鱼治疗，但人鱼拒绝了。人鱼要求画家为自己作画，人鱼腹部的烂疮慢慢扩展到全身并进一步恶化。先是慢慢向人鱼的上身扩展，然后流出各种颜色的脓水，各种蛆虫，长短不一，五颜六色，伴随着黏液从人鱼身上的脓包中喷射而出，混成一团，布满了浴缸以及浴缸周围的地板。而浴缸里的水也呈现出一种复杂的颜色，甚至变的粘稠。最后，脓疮蔓延到人鱼的脸上，布满了整个半边脸，当然也会涌出脓水和蛆虫。此时的人鱼已经变成了令人作呕的怪物。最后人鱼开始呕吐，吐出来的也是蛆虫和粘稠的脓水。这期间人鱼痛苦万分而画家则给予人鱼温情的关怀，帮人鱼挤脓，抽出身体里的蛆等等。而画家的画也伴随着人鱼的状况而改变，直到人鱼死去，画作也最终完成，一张布满五彩脓疮的脸。神情恍惚的画家肢解了人鱼，然而在人鱼的腹中竟然发现了一个婴儿。最后警察在画家邻居的举报下逮捕了画家 。
