警犬小黑负伤退役，春暖守候在为它牺牲的主人杨琰墓旁始终不愿离去巧逢杨琰父亲（杨校长）和外甥女（暖暖）来祭奠，春暖小黑在暖暖身上感受到已故主人的气息，选择依偎在暖暖身边。在暖暖的坚持下，杨校长领养回了小黑。残疾的小黑到了新家受到娇憨天真的暖暖细致的温暖，慢慢康复起来。与此同时痛失爱子的杨校长开始反思自己虎父型家长作风，暖暖私生女的身份浮出水面，原来杨校长因不能释怀暖暖父亲与自己女儿的婚外情而间接导致杨炘产厄。杨校长与暖暖父亲的嫌隙让罪犯绑走暖暖并索要大笔赎金，杨校长懊悔不已。交付赎金过程出现意外，众人认为暖暖遭遇撕票，杨校长突发脑溢血进了医院。只有小黑仍然坚持寻回暖暖，等待它的会是怎样一场殊死搏斗……
